Employment Law Assistance & Employee Handbook 

Jackson Lewis PC is a premier law firm with a nationwide practice exclusively specializing in employment law. SDRA members receive free answers to basic employment law questions from the firm and a South Dakota specific Employee Handbook, which can be customized specifically to the business for $1,400 which includes 2 hours of consultation. Additionally, if an SDRA member requires assistance beyond basic questions, the member will receive a 20% reduction off the regular rate from the Jackson Lewis law firm. 

Credit Card Processing

We’re always looking for ways to help you save money, simplify daily operations and grow your business. That’s why we’ve partnered with Worldpay from FIS--to provide our members big savings and even bigger value on a key business service; Credit card processing. Through our group buying power, we negotiated a competitive rate for premium credit card processing from Worldpay.

Dental Insurance

Offered through Delta Dental of South Dakota, this is a cost-effective benefit to help attract and retain quality employees. Dental benefits work because most dental disease is preventable, that’s why Delta Dental’s plans are focused on oral health and prevention.
Delta Dental has enhanced its plans to include Health through Oral Wellness. Individuals receive risk assessments that determine if additional benefits are included.

Health Plan

Hahn Financial Group in Sioux Falls offers our members an alternative to traditional group health coverage. If you are a business with 2 or more W2 employees, you could be eligible to participate in a self-funded with stop loss Association Health Plan. Self-funding, using a Third Party Administrator and Referenced-Based Pricing is one of the more effective ways employers can influence the rising costs of healthcare coverage. 

Vision Benefit

FedEx Discounts
Rely on FedEx for all of your shipping needs and save through the SDRA member discount program. Members receive up to 45% off FedEx Express and up to 32.5% off FedEx Ground. Members also receive 25% off delivery area and residential delivery surcharges. If you currently ship with FedEx, you’ll be able to continue using it the same way you do today. After you enroll in the FedEx Advantage Program, the discounts will be added to your account and then automatically applied to your shipments. Don’t have an account? Data Security & Phishing Email Training

Data security and managed firewall/backup services are available through our endorsed provider Infotech Solutions based in Madison, SD. Infotech Solutions provides real-time monitoring and detection of threats to your network security; protection against viruses, spyware, worms, and other forms of malware; blocks access to harmful, inappropriate websites and protection against network-level threats.

Infotech Solutions Phishing Email Training service helps determine whether your employees are opening dangerous links in phishing emails and trains them on how to identify potentially harmful links.

401k Plan

Transfer, rollover, or start an employer-based retirement plan with the SDRA's new approved and discounted member service.  SDRA now offers a 401K plan through our partner Hahn Financial Group, Inc. in Sioux Falls. 401k plans though an RIA (Registered Investment Advisor) platform provide timely, accurate, and responsive retirement plan services. Plan design includes low cost and fee transparency.  

Music Licensing

BMI represents the public performance rights in millions of musical works created and owned by hundreds of thousands of songwriters, composers, and music publishers. BMI negotiates music license agreements and distributes the fees it generates as royalties to its affiliated writers and publishers when their songs are performed in public. SDRA members can save up to 20% off their music licensing fees.

Dual Membership for Restaurants

When your restaurant joins the South Dakota Retailers Association, you are eligible for a dual membership with the National Restaurant Association.  The National Restaurant Association's mission is to to serve our industry and impact its success, we: Strengthen operations, mitigate risk and develop talent; Advance and protect business vitality through national, state and local advocacy; and Drive knowledge and collaboration.

The Buyers Guide is the first resource that industry leaders turn to when looking to purchase products or services. This is a great way for you to enhance your image and keep your name in front of key decision makers in South Dakota!  Retailers Association members are provided a basic listing for free in the guide with additional, high-visibility ad spots are available for purchase.

FICA (Tip Tax) Credit

The South Dakota Retailers Association has partnered with Adesso Capital as the Preferred Tax Refund/Credit and Lending Partner. ​If your employees earn tips, you can earn tax credits. The FICA Tip Credit offers a unique advantage for those in the food and beverage sector by allowing employers to get tax credits for tips your employees earn.
