SBA Restaurant Revitalization Fund Webinar

Join the Small Business Administration (SBA) South Dakota District Office for this information session especially for the South Dakota Retailers Association. 
The American Rescue Plan Act established the Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) to provide funding to help restaurants and other eligible businesses* keep their doors open. This program will provide restaurants with funding equal to their pandemic-related revenue loss up to $10 million per business and no more than $5 million per physical location. Recipients are not required to repay the funding as long as funds are used for eligible uses no later than March 11, 2023.

•  Overtime rule change: Under a rule adopted recently by the U.S. Department of Labor, more than one million American workers are newly-eligible for overtime pay. Find out: the dollar thresholds for determining whether your employees are entitled to overtime pay, how many hours an employee must work to receive overtime pay, how overtime pay is calculated, who is exempt from overtime pay requirements.

•  Tipped employees: The US Department of Labor has announced  a proposed rule regarding tip pooling arrangements and the federal tip credit. Learn: how the tip credit applies if an employee performs both tipped duties (such as taking and serving food orders) and non-tipped duties (such as rolling silverware), which employees can and can’t participate in a tip pool, and whether an establishment can utilize the tip credit if they have a tip pool.

•  Website accessibility update: We’ll give you a quick update on your general responsibilities to make your business website accessible. In October, the U.S. Supreme Court announced it would not review a circuit court ruling that a blind customer can sue the Domino’s Pizza chain under the Americans with Disabilities Act for having a website and mobile app that were not fully accessible to people with disabilities.
