SDRA members enrolled in one of the Association’s endorsed small group health plans receive an eyecare benefit.
Effective January 1, 2012, the program is offered through VSP® Vision Care.
A WellVision Exam® focuses on eyes and overall wellness and a VSP doctor can detect vision problems and signs of other health conditions, like diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol.
The premiums for this eyecare benefit are sponsored by SDRA to provide an enhancement to the Association’s group health insurance plan through Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield.
DENTAL INSURANCE
SDRA's dental program, offered through Delta Dental of South Dakota, is a cost effective benefit to help you attract quality employees.
This is the best Delta Dental program in the state available to employers with fewer than five employees.
The coverage may be purchased as part of an SDRA group health insurance package (through Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield), or separately.
The employer must pay at least 25% of the single cost of the dental insurance as an employee benefit, and at least 50% of eligible employees must be enrolled (minimum two enrollees).
